David Michael Eddy

Memorial services for David Eddy will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2026, at the Tuttle Christian Church at 33 SW 3rd in Tuttle, Oklahoma. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva. David Michael Eddy, 70, of Tuttle, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026. David was born on December 24, 1955, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to J.R. and Florence Eddy. He spent the last 13 years in Tuttle, where he built a life rooted in family, faith, and the things he loved most. On January 12, 1985, David married the love of his life, Deborah Carol Hughes, in Alva, Oklahoma. Together they built a strong marriage and loving family for over 41 years. David dedicated much of his life to serving others as an educator and coach with Moore Public Schools, where he impacted countless students and athletes throughout his career. After retiring from education, he continued his hard-working spirit in the oilfield as a salesman for Washita Valley. David had a passion for life and found joy in football, fishing, hunting, golf, music, collecting, and history. He was known for his love of learning, storytelling and his appreciation for all things meaningful. Whether on the golf course, in the outdoors, or sharing music and memories with family, David made lasting impressions on everyone who knew him. He was a faithful member of the Church of Christ and carried his faith throughout his life. Besides his parents, J.R. and Florence Eddy, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Eddy; and his sister, Cindy Ewing. David is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah Eddy of Tuttle; his sons, J.R. Eddy and wife, Jessica, of Tuttle, and James D. Eddy of Tulsa; his sister, Brenda Eddy of Wewoka; his brothers, Mike Ross and wife, Jessica, of Tuttle, and Kris Ross of Moore; along with many extended family members and dear friends. David will be remembered for his dedication to family, his strong work ethic, his love of sports and the outdoors, and the many lives he touched throughout his life. His legacy of faith, love, and perseverance will live on in all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Metro Church of Christ in Oklahoma City.
