Everett Bryan Powers

Celebration of Life Services for Bryan Powers, 57, will be 10 a.m., Friday, June 27, 2025, in the Marshall Funeral Home Chapel with Scott Brown, a longtime friend, and Pastor Mark Kinkel officiating. Family requests you wear jeans and your favorite OU attire. Burial will follow at Preston Hill Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home. Bryan Powers was born to Eldon and Bobbie Jene (Ridgway) Powers in Kiowa, Kansas, on March 30, 1968, and went to his heavenly home on June 20, 2025, surrounded by family in Alva, after bravely fighting pancreatic cancer for the past four years. He passed away at the age of 57 years, 2 months, and 21 days. Bryan graduated from Freedom High School in 1986, where he was active in 4-H, FFA, and football. When he was a senior, he was an All-Star player on the 8-man football team. He also earned a State Farmers Degree in FFA. After graduation, he attended Oklahoma University for 3 semesters. Bryan was an avid fan of all Oklahoma sports, especially football and softball. Bryan was a very compassionate and caring man who would do anything and everything for anyone who needed help. He was always surrounded by his fur babies anytime he was home, cuddling up with him whenever he was in his favorite chair. He was our go-to guy for forgotten dates of memories. Bryan started working in the Aeronautics Industry in 1989 for Kinzie’s, as Director of Sales and Marketing which sold to Plane Plastics in 2000, where he continued to work until 2007. He then went to work for PAST (Premier Aeronautics Service and Technology.) He remained as Director of Sales and Marketing in each place of employment, working there until his passing, even when not feeling up to par. In all these work places he continued to maintain his title of Director of Sales and Marketing, working in the aeronautics industry for 37 years. Bryan is survived by his mother, Bobbie Jene (Ridgway) Powers of Alva; his brother, Victor Powers and his wife, Carol, of Alva; his special Aunt Deanna and Uncle Gene Jackson of Alva; his uncles, Lynn Ridgway and wife, Julie, of Edmond, Randy Ridgway and wife, Ella, of Enid, Merle Ridgway and wife, Diann, of Alva, and Larry Powers and wife, Rena, of Woodward. Also surviving are cousins, Kevin and Shelly Jackson of Alva, Kayla Jackson and Doug Blakewell of Shawnee, Mindy (Ridgway) and Nathan Sager of Balko, Amy (Ridgway) and Gary Madison of Enid, Tim and Macy Ridgway of Enid, Chad and Shylah Ridgway of Enid, Natalie (Ridgway) and Greg Miller of Alva, Jason Ridgway, Adam and Flor Powers of Okinawa, Japan; Arin (Powers) and Ross Breese of Hill City, Kansas, and his fur babies, Chloe, Maggie, Junior, and Sidney. He is also survived by special friends, Scott Brown, Chris Lette, and Gerald Longhurst; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Eldon; his maternal grandparents, Enos “Budd” and Annadean Ridgway; his paternal grandparents, Herschel and Eva Powers; uncle, Verlyn Ridgway; and 2 year old aunt, Janette Ridgway. Cousins preceding him in death are, Mitch Ridgway, Breanna Myers, and Nicole Feese; and fur baby, 19 year old Buster. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Creature Concerns.
