Nadine Eloise Hayes

Funeral services for Nadine Hayes will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Waynoka wiith Pastor Thure Tolson officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Hill Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home. There will be a visitation with family present from 5-7:00 p.m. Friday at Marshall Funeral Home, Waynoka. Nadine Eloise, daughter of the late Paul August and Cora Adeline (Springer) Olson, was born August 18, 1938, at Waynoka, and passed away August 2, 2024, at Oklahoma City at the age of 85 years, 11 months, and 15 days. She was raised in the Waynoka area and graduated Waynoka High School as Valedictorian of her class in 1956. On July 23, 1956, she was united in marriage to Don Richard Hayes at the First Baptist Church in Waynoka. They made their home for more than 30 years in Amarillo, Texas where they raised their four children, Troy, Tobey, Shrese, and Shawn. They eventually moved back to Waynoka where they have lived since 1995. She pursued an Associates Degree from Amarillo College in 1991 and later a Business Degree at West Texas State University in 1996. Nadine was a member of the First Baptist Church and the P.E.O. Waynoka Chapter. She also loved participating in the ministry of helping with baby showers for expectant mothers at the NW Treatment Center in Waynoka. She was the owner/operator of Quilters Depot in Waynoka where she enjoyed quilting with her sisters and sewing for her family. She was a Campfire Girls Leader and was on the Board of Directors with the Santa Fe Credit Union. Besides her parents, Paul and Cora, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don; her sisters, Hattie Mae Davidson, Betty Dohoney, Eleanor Davidson, and Lynda Fender. She is survived by two sons, Troy Hayes and wife, Susan, of Amarillo, Texas, and Tobey Hayes and wife, Jodi, of Austin, Texas; two daughters, Shrese Tanner and husband, Doug, of Amarillo, Texas, and Shawn Litke and husband, Lonnie, of Pryor; one brother, Max Olson of Enid; twelve grandchildren, Matthew Hayes, Bryan Hayes and wife, Lauren, Sarah Bailey and husband, Bobby, Amy Trammell and husband, Seth, Amber Saunders, Amy Woiwode and husband, Todd, Collin Tanner and wife, Nicole, Lauren Tanner, Hailee Teague and husband, Stokton, Ashley Litke, Logan Litke, and Emily Ketcher and husband, Jonathan; eleven great grandchildren and two on the way; and other relatives. Her church family and P.E.O. sisters were like family to her as well as her many friends in the Waynoka community. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the First Baptist Church/ New Building Fund of Waynoka.
