Roy Glen Wilson

Memorial service for Roy Wilson will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the First Baptist Church, Waynoka. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka. Roy Glen Wilson was born in Comanche, Oklahoma on March 28, 1955, and left this earth surrounded by his family, May 7, 2024, at the age of 69 years and 38 days. He is preceded in death by his parents, P.D. Wilson and Willadean (Jantz) Wilson; brother, Ross Wilson; and loving caring daughter, Angel Lynn Boyd. He is survived by his beloved wife, Regina of the home, Waynoka; son J.D. Jackson and wife, Nickie, of Foss, Randy Noyes and partner, Tabitha Powers, Butch Wilson and wife, Jackie, of Shelbyville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Aaron Williams and wife, Shasta, of Fairview, Allie Haney and husband, Kolt, of Leedy, Madison and Mackenzie Boyd, both of Fritch, Texas, Kasen and Rhielan Jackson, Teytum and Leyla Lee of Foss, Brittany Reeves of Shelbyville, Kentucky, Savannah and Noah Noyes; and great grandchildren, Rowan and Jasper Williams, and Lynnlee Haney. Also surviving are brothers, Robert Wilson and wife, Nadine, of Newalla, Ron Engle-Wilson and wife, Carolyn, of Idabel, Roger Wilson and wife, Maricarol, of Carmen; brothers-in-law, Doial Dauphin and wife, Marilyn, of Waynoka, Aaron Dauphin of Waynoka; sisters-in-law, Reynna Samareis and husband, Theodore, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Eugena Karp of Woodward, and Patricia Dauphin of Freedom; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Roy spent his early years in Perry, Oklahoma, moving to Carmen, Oklahoma in 1964. He graduated from Carmen-Dacoma High School in 1973. He was a member of the first 8-man Oklahoma All-Star Football Team. Roy pursued a career in the oilfield, and over his 40 plus years he was involved in all facets of operations, including production, completions and his forte, drilling. Roy enjoyed the opportunity to mentor young men that became interested in drilling operations. Over his career he touched many lives! Roy loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them; he always had a little jingle for the Grandkids. He will be missed! The family wishes to thank all those at Beadles Nursing Home for all the compassion and comfort that they gave to Roy while he was in their care. Also, a special thanks to all the Doctors and Nurses that attended to Roy while he was hospitalized. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made through the funeral home to the OU Children’s Hospital.
