Graveside services for Esther M. Wilson, age 79, of Rose Hill, Kansas, will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at the Quinlan Union Cemetery with Pastor William S. Kalfas of the Alva Church of the Nazarene officiating. Interment is under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka. Esther M. Wilson, daughter of the late Walter William and Sylvia Ann (Wait) Young, was born November 13, 1926, in Campo, Colorado, and passed away June 16, 2006, in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 79 years, 7 months, and 3 days. Esther attended school in Waynoka. On June 17, 1945, she was united in marriage to Charles Edward Wilson in Woodward, Oklahoma. To this union four children were born: Charles Wayne, Robert William, Shirley Ann, and Linda Sue. They made their home in Follett, Texas before moving to Rose Hill, Kansas in the mid 1950&s. She was a member of the Rose Hill Baptist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. Esther loved cooking and gardening and taking care of her family. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, on March 11, 2002; three brothers, Donald Young, Eugene Young and Wilber Young; and two great grandchildren. Esther is survived by two sons, Charles Wilson of Rose Hill, Kansas and Robert Wilson and his wife, Phyllis, of Haysville, Kansas; two daughters, Shirley Lawrence of Rose Hill, Kansas and Linda Sample and her husband, James, of Augusta, Kansas; fourteen grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; one great- great grandchild; other relatives and friends. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society.
