Graveside services for Gerald Lee Jaquith will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 5, 2019, at the Waynoka Municipal Cemetery with Ray Hull officiating. Interment is under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva. Gerald Lee Jaquith, son of the late William Edward and Ela Elda (Barns) Jaquith, was born January 29, 1941, at the farm in Major County, Oklahoma, and passed away, July 27, 2019, at the age of 78 years, 5 months, and 26 days. Gerald graduated Waynoka High School with the Class of 1959. He graduated from NWOSU with a Mathematics Education Degree and furthered his education at SWOSU. He taught math at Shattuck and Higgins Texas, then Albuquerque, New Mexico for many years. He returned to Oklahoma in 1984 and taught at Ringwood. He moved back to the Waynoka area in the late 1980's. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde Jaquith and Tim Jaquith; one sister, Janet Jaquith; special friend, Wilma Stump; and several cousins. Gerald is survived by his extended family, Mark and Leah Dickinson, daughter, Caitlin, son, Cameron, and grandchild, Olivia; eight cousins, Viva Bowers of Helena, Darlene Shelite of Waynoka, Lavina Randall of Wichita, Kansas, Vernon Barnes and wife, Sharon, of Waynoka, Lloyd Benson of Waynoka, Dorothy Robinson of Ridgeway, South Carolina, George Rohla of Oklahoma City, and Dick Rohla of Chester; other relatives and many friends. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
