February 1, 1969 - February 25, 2019
The mountains are calling and I must go! Gina Renee Harzman loved her Rocky Mountains in Colorado. Gina Renee Harzman, daughter of Sherry Dee (McMurphy) Harzman and the late Oscar Michael Harzman, was born February 1, 1969, in Alva Oklahoma, and passed away suddenly February 25, 2019, in Alva, Oklahoma, at the age of 50 years and 24 days. Gina was cremated at her request and a celebration of life service will be held at the Bible Baptist Church on March 11 at 1:00 PM. Gina graduated from Alva High School with the class of 1987. She attended school in Colorado and earned her certificate to be a licensed practical nurse. She worked as a psychiatric nurse for 32 years. The last eight years she took loving care of our veterans at a VA facility. She enjoyed and loved taking care of these patients. They were her family away from home. Her heart ached for so many of them that never had visitors to show them love. Each one of them had a special place in her heart. She loved to travel and recently got to mark off some items on her bucket list. In the past year she was able to see many places; Hawaii, Ireland, Scotland and the UK. She enjoyed a cruise across the Atlantic Ocean to Spain and back to New York. She also enjoyed a cruise with family and friends to Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. She recently spent her 50th birthday in Las Vegas with her mother and brother Alan. She was also looking forward to driving to Alaska this summer with her mom and brother Lance. Gina is survived by her mother Sherry of Alva, one son Jacob King, four brothers; Don Michael Harzman and wife Kathy, Alan Derek Harzman, Clint Lee Harzman and wife Debbie, Lance Eric Harzman and wife Melissa. Nephews;Cheyenne, Tristan, Gabe, Clancy, and Ethan. Nieces; Kylee, Kinsey, Ali, Jessica and husband Chris Sheldon and Kelsey and husband Mike Bryant other relatives and many friends including Karen Campbell and Cindy (Dubb) Braun. Gina was preceded in death and welcomed to heaven with open arms by her father Mike Harzman, sister-in-law Elizabeth Harzman, and nephew Nicholas Harzman. Gina was the warmth of the family. She could light up the room with her loving laughter. Her smile could melt her brothers hearts. Her bold toughness in times of trouble brought us together as one in the face of uncertainty. Our family will always cherish how she loved with an unselfish heart. Her patients, friends, and family will miss her dearly. She will remain in our lives through loving memories forever. Her family has been so blessed. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Cimarron Range Preservation Association. Remembering her favorite saying, “The mountains are calling and I must go “- - only this time it was our Heavenly Father calling. We thank you for lending her to us for this short time. Amen.
