Memorial graveside services for Jack Vaughn Quinlan will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2019, at Waynoka Municipal Cemetery with Ladeana Nelson officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva. Jack Vaughn Quinlan, son of the late Kermit Laverne and Grace Lucille (Campbell) Quinlan, was born January 2, 1931, in Woods County, Oklahoma, and passed away of natural causes, September 26, 2019, at Alva, Oklahoma, at the age of 88 years, 8 months, and 24 days. He lived all of his life in Woods County where he engaged in farming. Jack was often seen with a deck of cards in his hand or a basketball shooting hoops at the Catholic Church. He was, also, a gold medal winner at the Nursing Home Olympics on several occasions in basketball for which he was very proud and would wear his medal around his neck . He loved country music and old cowboy tv shows. Most of all he loved people and their life stories. He will be remembered for his sweet spirit, kind soul and the smile on his face. . Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kermalene Crouch. Jack is survived by his brother-in-law, William Crouch of Alva; one niece, Victoria Morris of Bentonville, Arkansas; one nephew, Michael Crouch of Big Springs, Texas; two cousins, Pat Noble of Kiowa, Kansas, and Bonnie Corn of Flagstaff, Arizona; several great nieces and nephews; one great-great nephew; other relatives and friends. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Beadles Nursing Home Activity Fund.
