Jewell Judy Martin

Funeral Services for Jewell Judy Martin will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Marshall Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Carol Cook Moore officiating. Interment will be at the Short Spring Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva. Jewell Judy Martin, daughter of Roy D. and Lorene H. (Horner) Martin, was born June 6, 1940, at Alva Oklahoma, and passed away July 21, 2016, at Enid, Oklahoma, at the age of 76. Judy graduated from Keyes High School in 1958 and from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee in 1962. She was a registered nurse from 1962-1997 in Oklahoma City and was a certified rehabilitation nurse from 1993-2003. On November 7, 1980, she was united in marriage to Wilbur H. Lorentz in Norman, Oklahoma. Judy was a member of the Alva First United Methodist Church and enjoyed her Sunday School class and its members. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and Women of the Moose. Judy also enjoyed spending time at her farm in Alfalfa County. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur, in 1997. Judy is survived by her cousins and close friends, Don Rawson, of Alva, Mary Thompson, of Norman, Mary Strickland, of Bartlesville, Vickie and Jerry Eagen of Los Alamos, New Mexico, Jackie and John Howard of Las Vegas, Nevada, Barry and Vivian Martin of Port Ludlow, Washington, Debbie Martin of Edmond, Duane and Jeannette Nelson of Enid, and her Moose family; other relatives and friends. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Enid Hospice Circle of Love.
