Funeral services for Lavonua Ada Bixler will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at the Marshall Funeral Home Chapel with John Decker officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Hill Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka, LLC. Lavonua Ada Bixler, daughter of the late William Everette and Myrtle (Phillips) Decker, was born on May 11, 1937, in Woods County, Oklahoma, and passed away on January 13, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 84 years, 8 months, and 2 days. Lavonua attended and graduated from Waynoka High School. After graduation, she married Richard Zook and they had two children, Cindy, and Rob. In later years, she and Max Bixler, were joined in marriage creating a family with their children, Debra, Beth, Cindy and Rob. She worked for years with Max as an integral part of Bixler Land and Sales, while still caring for a family and maintaining a home. In later years, her interest in embroidery led her to open Special Stitches. Lavonua loved her grandkids and everyone at Miller’s Café heard all about them! She loved trips to Red River with the girls. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Max; and one brother, Jack Decker. Lavonua is survived by one son, Robert Zook of Seminole; one daughter, Cindy Seaman and husband, Bill of Waynoka; and step-daughters, Debra Redgate and husband, Max of Waynoka; Beth Dowing of Wichita; four brothers, John Decker and wife, Suzy, of Oklahoma City, David Decker and wife, Mary, of Phillipsburg, NJ, Buck Decker of Rhome, TX, and Roy Decker and wife, Loretta, of Alva; one sister, Edith Duckworth and husband, Leonard, of Houston, TX; 6 grandchildren, Kori Allison and husband, Jeremy, Bart Seaman and wife, Lindsay, Leah Bradford and husband, Matt, all of Waynoka, Dana Church and husband, Kyle, of Canute, Amy Vernon and husband, CC, of York, NE, Chancey Hanson and husband, John, of Waynoka; and 14 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Waynoka EMT’s.
