Funeral services for Lois Mae Nutter will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2019, at the Waynoka First Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Jones officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Hill Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka, LLC. The casket will be closed at the church. Lois Mae Nutter, daughter of the late Clyde Rossie and Violet Mae (Nusser) Hill, was born June 17, 1935, in Woods County, Oklahoma, and passed away April 1, 2019, in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 83 years, 9 months, and 14 days. Lois attended West Liberty School, then graduated from Waynoka High School. She was Miss Waynoka during her senior year. On November 27, 1952, she was united in marriage to Donald Lee Nutter. She lived in the Waynoka area all of her life, except for a short time when Don worked for the Santa Fe Railroad when they lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She worked for Frank’s Department Store over 30 years. Lois grew up in the Morning Star Baptist church and moved her membership to the Waynoka First Baptist Church when Morning Star closed. Her family, her church, and her church family were always very important to her. She enjoyed, traveling, growing flowers, watching the Oklahoma City Thunder, and cooking for her family. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Boyd Hill, Robert Hill, Clyde Hill, Jr., and Delmar Hill; one sister, Leola Haltom; and one half sister, Ailene Welch. Lois is survived by her husband, Don, of Waynoka; one son, Ronald Nutter of Waynoka; two daughters, Janelle Martinez and husband, Daniel, of Enid, and Vicky Kee and husband, Michael, of Quinlan; eight grandchildren, Cody Kysar and wife, Burgandi, of Broken Arrow, Kristin Million and husband, Mike, of Tulsa, Kaycie Kysar of Enid, Kelsie Wofford of Broken Arrow, Karissa Padilla and husband, Ruben, of Enid, Rashelle Fetty of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Micah and Zach Kee, both of Woodward; 14 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Waynoka Firefighters Fund or First Baptist Church youth program.
