Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday October 12, 2019 at the First Baptist Church (Waynoka, OK) with Rev. Len Coulter, pastor of Elm Flat Christian Church officiating. Interment will be in the Waynoka Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home (Alva, Ok). Sheila Kathleen Long (Aline, Oklahoma) the daughter of the late Clayton Foster and Ruth E. ( Carr) Sparks was born March 17, 1938, in Canadian, Texas and passed quietly from this life on October 9, 2019 in Fairview, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 22 days. Sheila grew up in Amarillo, TX where she graduated from Amarillo High School and Amarillo Beauty College. She was a member of the Elm Flat Christian Church (Cleo Springs) and the Alva Camping Club. She worked as a beautician at the LaCasa Salon (Amarillo) and in her home (Waynoka). Sheila was a delightful and ornery girl. In her young days she loved gardening, canning, boating and friends. She delighted in teaching her children and grandchildren how to fish, play cards andboard games. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, game shows (Price is Right) and scratch art. As a young adult she married Gustave Frank. Her young family lived in Amarillo, TX, suburban Nashville, TN and New Orleans, LA. To this union two children, Clayton Ray Frank and Sharra Kaye (Frank) Palm, were born. On July 6, 1974, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Darrel Wayne Long, in Amarillo, TX. They enjoyed 45 years of marriage residing in Amarillo, TX, Waynoka, OK on their farm West of Aline, Ok. She was a loving and devoted wife and she loved with every fiber of her being. Sheila was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ronald Sparks. She is survived by her husband: Darrel Long of the home (Waynoka - Aline), one son, Clayton Ray Frank (Waynoka), one daughter, Sharra Kaye Palm and husband Don (Portland, TX); two step-sons, Wayne Long and his wife, Arthetta, (Douglass, KS) and Glenn Long and his wife, Vonnie, (Wichita, KS). Additionally, she is survived by eight grand-children: Thomas Palmer and his wife, Linda (McKinney, TX), Nathan Long and his wife, Wendy,(Minco, OK), Amber (Long) Hopper and her husband, Matt (Derby, KS), Chasity Long (Wichita, KS), Johnathan Goss (Fairview, OK), Jordan Frank (Lubbock, TX), Michelle Warren and her husband, Chris (Nashville, TN) and Hanson Long and his wife, Ashlyn (Wichita, KS); nine great-grandchildren; Alyssa Palmer and Logan Palmer (McKinney, TX), Taylor and Tanner Knox and Maci and Maverick Hopper (Derby, KS) Samantha Halberg, Alice (A.J.) Long, and Koal Long (Minco, OK); and one great-great granddaughter; Alexis Hunt (Minco, Oklahoma). Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for heart or diabetic research.
