William Franklin Crowley

Graveside services for Williams F. Crowley were held Thursday, May 5, 2016, at Alva Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva. William Franklin Crowley, son of the late Elijah Roland and Inez Leona (Lively) Crowley, was born December 27, 1927, at Patesville, Kentucky, and passed away May 3, 2016, at Alva, Oklahoma, at the age of 88 years, 4 months, and 6 days. While serving in the United States Air Force, he was united in marriage to Betty Rebel on March 27, 1954, at March Air Force Base in California. They moved to Alva in 1968 and lived in Alva all but a few years when they lived in California and Nebraska. Bill spent a couple of years in California after Betty’s death in 2005, before returning to Alva where he spent his final years. Bill drove a truck for Yellow Freight Lines until his retirement in 1990. He was a member of the Alva Moose Lodge and enjoyed fishing. Besides his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Betty. Bill is survived by one daughter, Brenda Brown and husband, Kevin, of Texas; two grandsons, John James and Scotty Brown; other relatives and friends.
