A memorial service celebrating the life of Dylan Matthew Lewis will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2026, at Alva Wesleyan Church with Pastor Paul Kirk officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva. Dylan Matthew Lewis, beloved son of Matthew Wagner Lewis and Robin Earlene (Keele) Bratton, was born on October 2, 1992, in Enid, Oklahoma. He passed away unexpectedly on July 7, 2026, at his home in Pryor, Oklahoma, at the age of 33 years, 9 months, and 6 days. Dylan was raised in Alva, where he graduated from Alva High School before earning his bachelor's degree from Northeastern State University. On May 13, 2017, he married the love of his life, Brooke Allene Palmer, in Hulbert, Oklahoma. Together they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and family. They welcomed three beautiful sons—Clayton, Carson, and Canyon—who quickly became the center of Dylan's world. Whether they lived in Alva, Claremore, or most recently Pryor, Dylan had a way of making every house feel like home because home, to him, was wherever his family was. As a young boy, Dylan became a member of Alva Assembly of God Church. He grew up alongside his younger brother, Drake, sharing countless adventures, laughter, and memories that would last a lifetime. Dylan was fiercely protective of his little brother and remained someone his family could depend on. To know Dylan was to know someone who never met a stranger. Conversation came naturally to him, and he had an incredible gift for making people feel welcome. He genuinely enjoyed talking with others, sharing stories, making jokes, and finding ways to brighten someone's day. His smile and easygoing personality left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Nothing, however, brought Dylan greater joy than becoming a father. His boys were his greatest pride and the loves of his life. He was happiest on the living room couch wrestling with them, chasing them through the yard, playing on their playset, fixing broken toys, or simply hearing them laugh. He loved being "Dad" in every sense of the word, and his children knew without question that they were deeply loved. For more than twelve years, Dylan and Brooke shared a life filled with dreams and a future, challenges, celebrations, and unwavering love. Together they built a beautiful family and created countless memories that will forever be treasured. Though his time here was far too short, the love he gave so freely will continue to live on through those who knew him best. Dylan will be remembered not only for his strength and perseverance but for his kind heart, his willingness to help others, his ability to make people smile, and the deep love he had for his family. His absence leaves an immeasurable void, but his legacy will continue in the lives of his children and in the countless memories shared by those who loved him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his uncle, Peter Lewis; and two cousins, Lindsey Rutledge and Kramer Lewis. He is survived by his wife, Brooke Lewis, of Pryor; his three sons, Clayton Lewis, Carson Lewis, and Canyon Lewis; his mother, Robin Bratton and husband, Marcus, of Alva; his father, Matt Lewis of Alva; his brother, Drake Lewis and wife, Jaden, of Burlington; his stepbrother, Nolan Bratton of Alva; his stepsister, Rachel Bratton of Alva; along with his in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and many dear friends who will forever cherish his memory. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through Marshall Funeral Home to assist with the educational future of Dylan's three sons.
