Funeral services for Marlyn Stallings will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2026 at the Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Alva. Burial will follow at the Waynoka Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva. Marlyn Jo, daughter of Max Herbert and Cleta (Herrell) McComb was born November 20, 1950 in Stafford, Kansas and passed away peacefully July 10, 2026 in Alva, at the age of 75 years, 7 months, and 21 days. Marlyn grew up in Stafford, Kansas, graduating high school there in 1968. On August 4, 1968, she married her high school sweetheart, Jackie (Jack) Ned Stiggins from Sylvia, Kansas and together they had one daughter, Wendi Jo Stiggins (Thomas) Macey. She later married James Kelley Stallings of Alva, Oklahoma on November 20, 1998. Marlyn has lived in Sylvia, Kansas, Hutchinson, Kansas, Waynoka, Oklahoma, Amarillo, Texas, Carpentersville, Illinois, before making her home with her husband, James, in Alva. Marlyn worked for the Waynoka Nursing Center from 1982 to 1988. Her travels took her to Amarillo, Texas where she was a homemaker and self-employed. She then moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where she found her new occupation and worked in the diet and weight loss industry. She then moved to Carpentersville, Illinois where she was a homemaker and looked after her grandson. She then made her way back to Waynoka where she met James and they later married on November 20, 1998 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She was employed for many years and retired from her CMA career at Share Convalescent Home in Alva. Marlyn absolutely loved her hobbies that included arts and crafts, drawing, painting, gardening and had an extreme talent and excelled in all things that she created artistically with her hands. Above all, she loved her family and most importantly spending time with her two grandchildren. They absolutely were the apple of her eye and shared many adventures with the both of them. Besides her parents, Max and Cleta, she was preceded in death her husband, James Kelley Stallings; two brothers, Sammy (Sam) Rae McComb and Charles (Charlie) Herbert McComb; and one step-son, James (Jimmy) Kelley Stallings, Jr. Marlyn is survived by her daughter, Wendi Jo Macey, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and her former husband, Andrew James Macey, of Pilot Point, Texas, her sister, Nancy Jane Girard, of Wichita, Kansas, two step-sons, Chris Stallings and wife, Dhonne, of Rowlett, Texas, and Mark Stallings and wife, Dusti, of Kremlin; two grandchildren, William Macey and his wife, Meghan, of Commerce City, Colorado, and Chloe Macey of Oklahoma City; one great-granddaughter Sutton Ann Macey of Commerce City, Colorado; along with several nieces and nephews, other family relatives, and many, many friends. Memorial contributions can be made through the funeral home to the American Lung Association for COPD and lung research.
